I'm planning to do a stopmotion movie since last autumn.
The storyline is up to about 30 minutes and I'm collecting and preparing things for the settings.
It started with just a few sessions in the studio but I realised soon that this is too big for just a "few shots" here and there.
So the project was relocated to my own kitchen and living room. ;)

I've uploaded some shots at tumblr...
Here's the first scene I've taken in the studio:
[link]
It's a 36 sec long clip.

Beside the things that can be bought, I've done some crafting for the landscape.
I'm shaping some hills and mountains out of styrofoam with a heated styrosaw and a soldering gun which stinks really disgusting.

And I'm doing some trees out of copper wires, which can be viewed over here:
This was the first try and it was really difficult and damaged my fingers....

This little guy is about 12 cm tall and is made of small branches and usual wires.

I'm much more comfortable with the second try and with copper wires. It's a quicker method and my fingers don't hurt after that.

The willow is about 25 cm tall, the birch about 20cm.

Here are some links of which I thought that are really helpful. (and of course I don't want to search them all the time, so it's better I do a list here...)
